Analog SCADA Backhaul
CAMPBELL, Calif., February 2, 2011 – Exalt Communications today announced that Central Electric Power Cooperative (CEPC) of Jefferson City, Missouri has deployed Exalt microwave backhaul systems to carry mission-critical TDM and Ethernet traffic among its power facilities and eight member cooperatives. CEPC is a transmission and generation cooperative, and its members provide power for approximately 165,000 customers across 27 counties in Missouri. CEPC’s network is crucial to providing operational and management information across a network that spans the central portion of the state.

City of Sioux Falls When Fiber Fails
CAMPBELL, Calif., April 13, 2010 – Exalt Communications, the company that is reinventing microwave backhaul, today announced that the city of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has deployed Exalt microwave backhaul systems to support reliable, high-speed wireless connectivity among 20 public buildings. Winter temperatures as low as -30 Fahrenheit had put the City’s fiber optic links out of commission, but Exalt microwave backhaul links have been completely reliable, causing the City to rethink its annual spring efforts to repair freeze damage to its fiber lines.

Corn Belt Power Backhaul
CAMPBELL, Calif. — Feb. 8, 2012 — Exalt Communications today announced that Corn Belt Power Cooperative, a generation and transmission (G&T) electric cooperative providing power in 41 northern Iowa counties, has deployed Exalt microwave backhaul systems to consolidate its legacy communications network and better manage the traffic load on its smart grid and SCADA systems. A mix of Exalt licensed and license-exempt microwave links is helping Corn Belt Power cut operational costs and help its members more efficiently manage peak consumption.

Emergency Communications for Houston County
CAMPBELL, Calif. — September 19, 2012— Exalt Communications today announced that Houston County, Minn., is using an Exalt microwave backhaul system to connect all of the county’s public safety radio communications. The system connects Houston County to Minnesota’s Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response (ARMER), the interoperable emergency communications network that links agencies, local governments, and first-responders throughout the state. The Houston County Sheriff’s Office headed up the project, and the selection of Exalt saved significant costs for the county.

CAMPBELL, Calif., September 8, 2010 – Exalt Communications today announced that Rushmore Electric Power Cooperative (Rushmore EPC), an electrical generation and transmission cooperative providing wholesale power to eight distribution members in western South Dakota, has deployed Exalt microwave backhaul systems to deliver T1 and Ethernet traffic throughout its network and support IP initiatives such as Smart Grid.

South Dakota Power Cooperative
Campbell, Calif., June 16, 2009 — Exalt Communications, the company that is reinventing microwave backhaul, announced today that the East River Electric Power Cooperative, a wholesale electric power cooperative serving a 36,000-square mile area in South Dakota and western Minnesota, has deployed its EX-2.4i and EX-2.4i-16 microwave radio systems. The new Exalt systems are being used to upgrade legacy radio links of up to 30 miles between remote substations and other facilities, and the cooperative’s SONET fiber ring.
